Take a look inside Louis Vuitton’s new luxury restaurant in Japan!
Louis Vuitton decided to finally venture into the cuisine world by opening their very first luxury restaurant and café in Osaka, Japan. With cuisine by famous Japanese chef Yosuke Suga and incredible interior design by Peter Marino and Jun Aoki, this luxury restaurant inside the chic French fashion house’s new four-floor store is a true dream come true for all design aficionados! Louis Vuitton recently opened a new four-floor in Osaka, on February 1st, but it’s not just the stunning fashion creations from the luxury brand that you will be able to find in this building. You’ll also find the brand’s very first luxury restaurant and café, an elegant and sophisticated dining experience you have to add to your bucket list!
If you’re already in love with the interior design of Le Café V and restaurant Sugalabo V, then we have to tell you that you’ll love it even more once you know who designed it. Architect Jun Aoki designed the incredible building for the new Louis Vuitton flagship store and stunning restaurant, and it was up to Peter Marino to design its interior, giving it his bold touch that only he knows how!

Sugalabo V’s design is different from Le Café V, creating a seamless transition from a dark color palette, sophisticated, elegant, to a pastel colored one in the café, playful and youthful. In the restaurant, the design includes an open kitchen plan and Monogram-inspired charger plates created by Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades designer Tokujin Yoshioka. You’ll also find splashes of bold colors amongst neutrals, that will surely make you fall in love even harder.
Le Café V includes a spacious outdoor terrace on the top of the building, a cocktail bar, and oval-shaped “cocoon room” that will be open day and night. The café provides a more youthful and playful design with brighter colors and a more relaxed space. Both dining experiences, however, will have menus curated by chef Yosuke Suga, a protégé of the late culinary legend Joël Robuchon.
If you’re hungry for fashion or home design, inside Louis Vuitton Maison Osaka Midosuji, the brand’s new building, you’ll also find the retail stores, designed to feel like the inside of a yatch with traditional Japanese woodwork and origami washi paper. If you’re in awe of the artwork, it’s because the store features 20 contemporary artworks by the likes of Vik Muniz, Polly Apfelbaum, and Gregor Hildebrandt.
