We know the dark cabinets is a somewhat “old” trend, but 2019 brings a different take on it. First off, it’s all about a honed or leathered finish for the stone (basically matte). The look is so beautiful and feels much more modern but still classic. We love a strong and bold color and we couldn’t be more on board with this trend.

Statement Appliances

Unique appliances that bring freshness and personality to your kitchen should have always been a trend in your kitchen. We’ll see it a lot more in 2019 and we’re seriously excited about it. Long gone are the boring classic appliances next to white cabinets and countertops.

Beautiful yet functional storage will never go out of style and the trend for 2019 is really to take advantage of the spaces in your kitchen. Walls? Yeah, go for it! Some floating shelves are a great idea to store your spices and other utensils.

We can’t stress this enough: stone will be a big trend in 2019. Marble is driving people crazy and we will continue to see it in kitchens everywhere this year. We’re taking things to a whole other level this year though, placing stone on the countertop, backsplash and shelf. All stone is the way to go.

Whether it’s a custom build or a beautiful antique piece, a footed island makes a kitchen feel more airy and open. This will be a big trend for 2019, giving the kitchen a slightly more rustic feel but instantly modern when paired with the right kitchen stools and appliances.
