Paris is an enormous metropolis, full of history and things to tell. It’s easy to get tired in huge Paris, but it’s not because you’ll get bored! For all of you design lovers, we have compiled a little Paris city guide with things to see in this amazing city. You won’t want to skip these ones!

MAISON ET OBJET 2020
Rendez-vous with an à la carte variety of design trends at Maison et Objet! After the January event, September 2019 marks another return of one of the leading international authorities when it comes to interior design and decor events. The Maison et Objet fair will once more host the best professionals and talents of the industry, exhibiting their ideas, solutions, and products to all attending design enthusiasts. Essential Home will be present at HALL 6, Stand O92 – P91. Make sure you don’t miss it!
THE LOUVRE
A cliché? A rather marvellous one at that! This monumental landmark of the city contains thousands of objects from pre-history to the 21st-century. It is regarded as the largest museum in the world, holding a series of collections of relics from various ancient civilizations, from Egyptian antiquities to Greek, Etruscan and Roman pieces as well as Islamic art, sculptures, decorative arts, around 7,500 works of paintings, and much more.
CITÉ DE L’ARCHITECTURE ET DU PATRIMOINE
As the name suggests, the bulk of the permanent exhibitions at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine are more concerned with the construction of buildings than the design of the objects which furnish them. However, from time to time, the museum, which overlooks the Eiffel Tower, stages temporary shows that place interiors front and center. If you have an interest in French architecture and would like to know more about how it has evolved from the 12th century to today then it’s certainly worth starting your Parisian day of design here. MUSÉE DES ARTS ET MÉTIERS
The Musée des Arts et Métiers sits on the Saint-Martin-Des-Champs Abbey founded in the 8th century, destroyed in the 9th by the Normans, and rebuilt in 1060 by Henry I. This Industrial Museum highlights seven enticing collections with thousands of objects and drawings, some currently on display, others preserved. Some of the best are the original version of the Foucault pendulum and the original model of Liberty Enlightening the World by Auguste Bartholdi.
KONG (FOR LUNCH)
A glass spaceship atop a Haussmann-era apartment building, KONG is one of the most famous and distinctive restaurants in all of Paris. You might know it as the one Carrie Bradshaw ate in with her boyfriend’s ex-wife and the ‘heedious’ chairs. Well, it’s been completely renovated since then, with Philippe Starck again creating a place that has to be seen to be believed. While it can be a bit pricey, the lunch menu is totally reasonable.
LA RESÉRVE HOTEL AND SPA
Located in the super exclusive Avenue Gabriel, this luxury accommodation is housed in the former residence of designer Pierre Cardin.
