10. It’s happening in New York
Firstly, we have to acknowledge that the International Contemporary Furniture Fair will be happening in one of the most exciting cities in the world, where design and ideas are always flowing and changing. If you have never been, this is the perfect excuse to make a stop in the city that never sleeps.

9. Terry Crews will be there with his amazing collection
Terry Crews is no stranger to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York, and the actor has been supporting and attending ICFF for quite some time now. This time, Crews will once again be one of the event’s hosts, at the same time he endorses his stunning furniture collection line, launched last year.
8. NYCx Design Awards will be held
As usual, the recipients of the NYCx Design Awards will be awarded with their figurines at an awards ceremony, which is to be held on the 21st at the newly renovated Pier 17 at NYC’s South Street Seaport.
7. The amazing opening party
If you’re attending ICFF 2018, make sure you don’t miss their opening party. Although the doors officially open on the 20th, the opening party will be happening on the 21st from 7pm to 10pm. There will be a gala with open bar and a lot of hors d’oeuvres, as well as live entertainment.
6. An incredible Silent Auction
And for the first time in the furniture fair’s history, a silent auction will be held in memory of Anna Hernandez. The return coming from this silent auction will be going to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and the Anna Hernandez/ Luna Textiles Education Fund Award.
5. The first three days are 100% exclusive to professionals
Although ICFF will run from the 20th to the 23rd of May, the first three days will be open exclusively to professionals such as interior designers, architects, representatives, distributors, facility managers, developers, manufacturers, store designers, and visual merchandisers. The general public will have the opportunity to see all the exhibitors on the last day, the 23rd.

4. It’s a great place to do some networking
While you’re there, and because the first three days are exclusive to professionals, this international fair serves as a great place to do some networking, and getting to know better the brands which might have been spiking your interest. Make sure you take this opportunity to see everything, talk to everyone and even schedule a few meetings.
3. Representatives from all over the world will be there
ICFF New York will host representatives coming from all over the world, from Australia to Venezuela, with countries such as Portugal, Taiwan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom being a part of that list as well.

Being a place of excellence to showcase hing end furniture brands, ICFF New York will welcome more than 800 exhibitors coming from all over the world. 1. Essential Home will be at Booth #1719
Finally, the most important reason, at least to us all. With more than 800 brands representing their countries and their own aesthetic, Essential Home will also be there to exhibit their mid-century inspired vibe and, hopefully, inspire not only all the professionals which will be roaming around, but also the general public which will be attending on the 23rd!
