Pink is a color that exudes sophistication and can add a fun, flirty flair to any room in your house. Regardless of shade, pink always brings something that satisfies all passions. On that note, Benjamin Moore’s 2020 Color of the Year is a lovely shade of pink called First Light.
According to Andrea Magno, the brand’s Director of Color Marketing and Development, this hue is supposed to represent “(…) a new dawn of idealism, design and living. (…) a new definition of the home – a shift in mind set from the material to satisfying the core needs in life: community, comfort, security, self-expression, authenticity and ultimately, optimism.”
First Light is a versatile shade of pink that is perfect for any room. Being quite a soft color, it can be used as an alternative to warm neutrals such as cream or beige, but it is also cheerful enough to bring some joy to your decorating ambience.
Benjamin Moore have also released an accompanying collection of nine other new pigments that pair brilliantly with First Light, from darker mysterious hues to softer pastels. They are no doubt worth taking a look at!
This is no doubt a lovely shade of pink that is already looking perfect to a Springtime decoration in 2020. One of the joys of Spring is the vibrant colors that it entails, so we cannot wait to get our hands on this delightful pink and start our Spring decor revamp!
