Kettners (Soho, London)
Kettner’s Townhouse Champagne Bar serves a large selection of champagne and cocktails, with curtains that can be drawn to turn it into a late night lounge. The bar features an original mosaic tiled floor and early-deco 1920s design. French glass lights, a walnut bar with a marble top, sofas, armchairs, and original art decorate the space. Cocktails are delightful bubbly numbers, like the Champagne Martini. And if the thought of prices puts you off, visit during what must be Soho’s swankiest happy hour.
Blue Frog Lounge (Mumbai)
This lounge is used as a music venue within a complex of sound recording studios in a converted warehouse, and incorporates a restaurant, bar and live music stage. The different sized cylindrical booths seat between 4 and 10 people and are arranged at various heights to stagger the eye levels of seated diners and standing customers, intended to afford uninterrupted views of the stage. The interior design was thought to be sound friendly with an undulating booth structure made from block board finished with mahogany and topped with back-lit acrylic sheets.

Bar Pleiades (New York)
Named for the beloved French restaurant frequented by Manhattan’s art world elite of the 1970s and 80s, Bar Pleiades combines the respectful, attentive service of a fine hotel bar with the inspired cocktail menu of a gifted mixologist. With its numbered tables and ambience of seduction, Bar Pleiades is a cocktail lounge and hotel bar evocative of a discreet rendezvous.
