After working with some of the best in the industry, Alex Cochrane decided that it was time to create his own design studio where we could highlight his own signature style. His current design projects include the substantial refurbishments of Selfridges’ Executive and Byers and Merchandise Offices on Oxford Street, the sensitive refurbishment of Marcel Breuer’s de Bijenkorf building in Rotterdam and a large restaurant in Holt Renfrew’s flagships store in Toronto.

After 11 years, of creating beautiful interiors, the Alex Cochrane Architects studio has done it again with its recent restaurant design that is all about the luxury design details and bold pops of color.
On Holt Renfrew’s new interior design by Alex Cochrane Architects, the cafe’s bar, lounge, and main and private dining rooms total 3,300 square feet area. All of these unique spaces employ a restrained materials palette of white oak, rosewood, brass, and milky terrazzo, and have some degree of visual connection.
